There's no need to deprive yourself of any of the cultural, professional, social or intellectual treasures of Metro Vancouver. The benefits of being an island so close to Vancouver are not limited to the ease of getting there and back. You'll find some people on Bowen who are as cosmopolitan as any you'll find downtown. They've just chosen to live a different life.
